Hand carved and hand held Wooden Cross Sword (Hebrews 4:12) & “Shield of Faith” (Ephesians 6:16) Holder Set
Hebrews 4:12 "For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart."
The "Sword" Series is intended to show simple elegance using spectacular woods in building and hand carving to create an heirloom to last many generations. The idea for the Sword Cross was first inspired by a very special customer of ours. Our design intentions were to respectfully blend the double edged sword and a cross into one piece of art.
This “Double Edged Sword” Cross is beautifully made from African Wenge with Cocobolo and Claro Walnut accents. The shield is hand carved from Tropical West African Black Limba. The Cross attaches with a copper peg and is designed to be removable and hand held. “There’s just something about holding a Cross in your hands and the sense of peace it gives you.” The plaque is also hand carved from Black Limba standing off on a solid copper square rose head nail, engraved with Hebrews 4:12.
