Our Believe Cross bookmark is handmade from a piece of La Bretagna Leather, a renown family run Italian tannery in Tuscany. It is 100% vegetable tanned using natural extracts resulting in a durable, unique and naturally beautiful hide for high-end leather goods. Color is Arizona Raw Tegola - 5 oz.
The bookmark is hand cut and hand burnished to create our unique rustic Old World patina. It is vintage, organic and smells heavenly. It is attached with Greek leather cord to our own original design. “Our Father” link that includes two USA cast Solid Bronze regal bead caps and hand wrapped with Solid 18 gauge USA Bronze wire. The 8mm gemstone is AAA quality beautiful Lapis Lazuli from Afghanistan, the blue pigment used by the Masters for Mary’s blue robe.
Finally, attached is a beautiful USA casted Solid Bronze medal of “Veni, Sancte Spiritus” depicting a traditional Latin prayer and hymn that translates to “Come, Holy Spirit”. It is a plea for the Holy Spirit to fill the hearts of the faithful, provide guidance, and bestow Grace. This invocation is famously known as “the Golden Sequence” and is sung during the Feast of Pentecost in the Catholic tradition.
